Early in the morning, following an overnight stay in Den Helder, we accompanied influencers from the Netherlands and Belgium on a genuine prawner which would take us across the sea. Our “guide” in this event was Victoria Koblenko. We spotted seals and enjoyed the beautiful Wadden Sea. We were headed for the island of Texel, where we would be entirely offline for 24 hours in order to discover all the ins and outs of the new Versa 2. We were aiming for total relaxation and some sporty exertion for these “always online” fitness and health influencers. When we arrived at the Wadden island, bicycles were waiting for us. Rather than keeping to the beaten track, we cycled through meadows where Texel sheep grazed, to a sheep shed which we had set up to have lunch. But first it was time for yoga and meditation. In the middle of the pasture, amidst the sheep, everyone joined in the session led by one of the influencers. After a festive vegan Texel luncheon, we went on to the afternoon programme: supping or surfing in the sea. Autumn was almost here, so the sea was quite bleak. This did not keep our influencers from going full steam ahead. On the fishing boat back to Den Helder, the influencers shared their experience of being offline for 24 hours. How do you strike a balance in this online world?
